તમામ બિન-કૃષિ, સ્વાયત્ત યુનિવર્સિટીઓ, ટેકનિકલ કોલેજો અને સંલગ્ન કૉલેજોના વર્ગો 15 ફેબ્રુઆરી સુધી બંધ રહેશે. આ સમયગાળા દરમિયાન શિક્ષણ ઓનલાઈન ચાલુ રહેશે. તેમ જ આ તમામ યુનિવર્સિટીઓ અને સંલગ્ન કૉલેજોની પરીક્ષાઓ ઓનલાઈન લેવામાં આવશે. બુધવારે મળેલી બેઠકમાં આ નિર્ણય લેવામાં આવ્યો હતો. ઉચ્ચ અને ટેકનિકલ શિક્ષણ મંત્રી ઉદય સામંતે જણાવ્યું હતું કે અમે દરેક જિલ્લાની સ્થિતિની સમીક્ષા કર્યા બાદ આ નિર્ણય પર આવ્યા છીએ.
ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે 13 ઓક્ટોબર, 2021ના રોજ, રાજ્ય સરકારે કોલેજોને ઑફલાઇન શરૂ કરવાનો નિર્ણય કર્યો હતો. રસીકરણ કરાયેલા બે વિદ્યાર્થીઓને કૉલેજમાં આવવા દેવામાં આવ્યા હતા, પરંતુ છેલ્લા કેટલાક દિવસોથી, કોરોના વધુ વ્યાપક બન્યો છે. આથી આ નિર્ણય લેવાયો છે, એમ સામંતે જણાવ્યું હતું.
